SUBJECT: Free Tetanus Shots and Well Water Testing Available

Due to the recent flooding the Newton County Health Department announces the availability of free Tetanus shots to residents and volunteers affected by the flood and involved in the flood clean-up process. Free water test kits for bacteria testing are also available for residents if their private well was flooded or otherwise affected by flooding. Tetanus shots and well water test kits are available at the health department at 812 W. Harmony, Neosho, MO 64850. Normal office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday, but tetanus shots are only available 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The health department will be closed on Monday May 8th and will re-open on Tuesday May 9th.
