FEMA Region VII received a request from the State of Missouri for Joint Public Assistance (PA) Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDA) due to the flooding that started on April 28th and continuing. FEMA Region VII staff will support the State of Missouri in conducting joint PA PDAs in the following counties: Barry, Butler, Carter, Crawford, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Howell, Iron, Lawrence, McDonald, Maries, Miller, Morgan, Oregon, Osage, Ozark, Phelps, Pike, Pulaski, Ralls, Reynolds, Ripley, Saline, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Washington, Webster, and Wright Counties to commence on or about Wednesday, May 10th . Additionally, FEMA Region VII received a request from the State of Missouri for Joint Individual Assistance (IA) Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDA) due to the flooding that started on April 28th and continuing. FEMA Region VII staff will support the State of Missouri in conducting joint IA PDAs in the following counties: Barry, Butler, Carter, Christian, Crawford, Douglas, Dunklin, Greene, Howell, Jasper, Maries, Morgan, New Madrid, Oregon, Ozark, Pemiscot, Perry, Phelps, Pulaski, Reynolds, Ripley, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas and Wright Counties to commence on or about Wednesday, May 10th . These damage assessments are the first step in helping a governor determine whether the scope of the damages are beyond what the state is capable of handling and if additional federal assistance is needed. Additional assessments may be requested as damage information is received from local officials.
